Who we are

PodioBackup is an independent backup service for Podio. We are the data controller for the information described below. For anything privacy-related, write to info@podiobackup.com.

What we collect

• Account — your email address and the plan you chose.
• Podio connection — the OAuth tokens you grant us through Podio's own authorization flow (we never see your Podio password), plus the list of organizations and apps you selected for backup. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
• Billing — payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers; we only store your subscription status.
• Backup data — the Podio content covered by your selection (items, files, comments, relationships, revision history), processed solely to produce your backups.

Why we use it

Only to provide the service you pay for and to send you service emails about your account and backups (performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6.1.b). No advertising, no profiling, and we never sell or share your data for marketing.

Where it lives

On servers hosted in the EU. Access tokens and backup archives are encrypted, and access is restricted to what's needed to operate the service.

Who else is involved

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Podio (Progress Software) — we read your data through their API, on your authorization, which you can revoke at any time from your Podio account settings.

No analytics or advertising trackers run on this site.

Cookies

Essential cookies only: session, security and "remember me". Nothing that tracks you across sites.

How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your subscription is active. Backup archives are deleted within 30 days after cancellation. You can request full deletion of your account and data at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export, delete or object to the processing of your data — email info@podiobackup.com and we'll act on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
